As usual, I was checking out some of my favorite blogs, and I came across yet another contest from Pagemaps. I will take this opportunity to reiterate how much I love these sketches. They are so versatile and easy to use, I just can't stop! I have purchased both of Becky Fleck's Pagemaps books, and I also keep a binder full of the free monthly downloads from pagemaps.com. If that wasn't enough, I now obsessively follow the blog at pagemaps.blogspot.com to get even more ideas!
This contest link is here: http://pagemaps.blogspot.com/2011/10/studio-purge-sketch-contest.html, and the sketch we were to use as an inspiration is this one:
It spoke to me. I don't know if it was the layout, the pretty fall accents pictured, or just the right day/time to catch my eye, but I loved it. I started thinking about what I could create with it, and I decided on a farm layout. Combine those pics with Moxxie's new release called "Farm Livin'," then add in the sketch...well, it was meant to be! Here's what I came up with for my entry:
Be sure to check out the contest. Even if you don't enter, you'll be inspired by some of the other really awesome entries. Give us a link in your comment if you do a layout too. I'd love to see what you create!
