Look...vision...Can you see it?

Can you believe it? Two posts in just a short period of time? What is happening to me? LOL! Hopefully I am back full time. Yay.

Even though this is just a short post it is still important. I did another Moxxie layout for Peggy and the Moxxie team.

I have to say that when I was taking pics of my boys as babies I was using the worst camera ever and did not pay any attention to detail or really what the picture looked like what so ever. Well, actually back then you could not see the picture right away because we used film instead of digital. I really wish I could go back and re-take all of those photos. But, I cannot. So, I needed to get creative with the "Special Delivery" line. I really like the colors of blues and pinks with the brown. There are a lot of different patterns and the reverse sides of some of the very obvious baby papers are very non baby and can be used for a lot of different subjects. I can see little girl and boy as well as pet pages. I can even see some really cute Valentine pages and cards with the pinky patterns. So fun! I will have to try that later. Anyway, I chose our very brown Christmas that we had this year. Can you believe no Christmas in Iowa? It is the first one since I have lived here. The pictures turned out good and I thought the blues and pinks looked wintery without using the typical snowman, snowflake papers. Sometimes you just need to mix it up.

Here are my pages. Tell me what you think!

I love all of the fun circles using the different patterned papers. And of course I inked the edges of each element. The title came from the sticker sheets. I used both the boy and girl sheets for the mixed colors of the words. They were the perfect size. And I added a little stitching across the circles with my sewing machine.

I hope I have inspired you to look at scrapbooking lines in different ways. Just because it says baby doesn't mean you have to use it for baby pages. Sometimes you have to look at color instead of theme!

When I owned my store, everyone always wanted a theme. That is great for a lot of things, but sometimes I just had to point them in the right direction and what looked like a theme that absolutely would not be right, turned into a great sale because the colors or the patterns worked well with the project they were working on. Sometimes we just need to look beyond the obvious and have some vision!

Until next time!
Michelle
